Koi travel for resellers and wholesalers, covering the major koi farms and farms breeding requested koi, are arranged in a monthly rhythm. During the high-season winter months, higher frequencies are possible.

Due to frequent request of recreational holidaying after the koi travel, arrangements have been made for packages for hot springs, alpine tours (up to 3000 meters), white-sand beach resorts and festival days. 

The number of participants is limited. A typical koi-farm tour will last 3 to 5 days, covering 4 to 7 koi farms. Many participants fly with "Eva Air" or "China Airlines", in order to make a free stop-over in Taiwan on their way to/from major Koishows in Japan.

The best time for selecting new Koi, is one or two month before the Taiwan Koishow which is held in December of every year.
